What computer do you recommend?

I have an Apple Mac at the moment but I am not happy with it, there are many restrictions etc. which can be downloaded, it is costly to business resellers of Mac and find near where I live is a nightmare …….

I am a Mac user for 20 years (my 1st Mac does not even have an internal hard drive!) And do not even think of giving money to the pirates in Redmond. Unless you need it for work or for one of the few things that you can not do on a Mac, stay with the Mac platform. You can run Windows on a Mac if you want, especially now with the new chips. OS X is far superior to anything coming out of Redmond, although I must admit that XP Professional is pretty nice (I must use it at work). There is almost nothing that can be done on a PC that can be done better on Mac: music, art, word processing, email, whatever. A good point about computers is that they are cheaper if you get generally good value for your money with a Mac. If you really compare on a line by line, Mac is a good deal. The MacMini starts at about $ 600 and beat the pants matter any PC, without exception. If you absolutely must have a PC for some strange reason, Sony Vaio and Dell is good [http://www.dell.com/] may be an ideal place if you know what you want and how to apply correctly (eg using my PC friends). I'm not sure what the restrictions that you download get with a Mac that you would not with a PC (i-Tunes is i-Tunes, whatever the platform), While you may have some problems with Safari. If so, Download Mozilla Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ Spec for spec you can not beat a Mac. Am I biased? You bet!
