How can you use an Apple Macintosh computer?
I just received an Apple Macintosh computer (I always used a PC) and have need help on how to run it. I know the basics (it's on, find Word, etc..) But how do you make other things? Also, I have a USB cable – can I transfer my PC programs on the Mac to use? Any information you can give me would be useful – thanks!
Well, you sort of need to be more precise. Apple.com and the System Guide can teach you many things you should know. Regarding running PC programs on the Mac, they must either be universal (you can find out by typing the program in apple.com and see if it comes up) or you need to buy a program called Crossover, which will run basic applications for Windows (no games). Other than that, send me an email with a particular issue if you need help, I switched 2 years ago and became an expert in a matter of months. It is a very simple and efficient operating system. Also, have you OSX Panther or Tiger, Panther, if you say it goes: 10.5, 10.4 is Tiger.
