This is almost a religious issue. Mac users will tell you that their equipment is superior and they have a better operating system. In reality, the hardware is the same, but better controlled. Their operating system is better than Windows, however. which means not much. This simply a Unix-like operating system based off of BSD, it is true that Macs do not have virii. They do. PCs are less expensive than Macs. Their design is typically a kludgier bit, but the underlying hardware is almost identical, as evidenced by people who use OS X on hardware Generic Intel. Bang for your Buck wise I recommend a PC with XP dual boot Windows and some flavor of Linux.
