Well, Macs can get viruses. But consider this: you're a developer virus, and you are paid by a company to carry advertising for their product on each computer that you infect. PC are 90% of the market and Macs are 10% of the market. what would you be concerned? Obviously PC, because you'd be making more money. Virus Thus, there is very little to Macs, and more for PCs. I would recommend getting a PC unless you use it only for art or social networking, in which case the Mac is very good.
