How can I get a good signal with a TV tuner?
Just today I bought a USB TV tuner from HP. I have Directv so I have satellite. That is how I have configured. The coax cable coming from the wall is connected to the DIRECTV set-top box IN. Coaxial cable connects between the OUT jack on the set-top boxes and DIRECTV USB TV tuner, which is connected to my laptop. I run the Windows Media Center and install all I'm supposed to, guide, satellite, etc. DIRECTV Now the problem is that once control enters my signal for my local channels (3,5,7,8,10,12,13,15,33,45,61 ) gives me the lowest possible signal level, which means that the video really sucks, stopping constantly. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here?
connect a high-quality antenna (preferably power) to Sat antenna feed its liability if the SAT box is still just going through it, but the USB tuner should pick and give a better signal for OTA channels
