Can I use 1 TB external hard disk USB connection for laptop or just 320?
Is it advisable to use 1 TB of external hard drive with USB connection with Windows laptop / notebook? Or you can use larger size is 320 GB? If so, which brand is better, Seagate or Western? Or is there a larger size that can be used?
I am currently using the Seagate FreeAgent Pro 1TB with my notebook. Works fine and has a compound very nice. I can not say which brand is better, but Seagate offers 5 year warranty, so I'm sold with Seagate. Otherwise there something you should consider when buying an external hard drive: heat, noise and connectivity. I bought the online version of the FreeAgent Pro because it has e-SATA interface, which is likely to become the norm for laptops (though my laptop does not have it
) Correction of the answer above mine: the ability of the external drives has nothing to do with its portability. It is the form factor, for example. with an external 3.5 "you will probably need a power supply with it and it is harder to bear. discs 2.5 "(those used for laptop) do not need much power so you only need a USB cable to work
