Comments on TV lines – power problem?

My two TVs that have digital cable boxes, an HD, an HD DVR (cable) and recently there have been purple and green color bars that line the screen. While testing the house while no harm to the earth I found that unplugging my UPC that the powers of my computers (Mac Pro and G5) has set the bar.
